This hotspot’s yearly event will be held on Saturday, October 28th. From 2pm to 4pm, patrons of all ages can enter the contest (no fee to enter) and take in the sights of the Empire State Building and midtown Manhattan

Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge is hosting its third annual carving contest on Oct 28, at which you can enjoy an autumnal themed bash equipped with signature cocktails such as the Ghost-Tini, Poisoned Apple Pie or the Trick or Treat.
Don’t look now — the city’s skies are being taken over Monday by a rare solar eclipse.
As New Yorkers awaited the celestial wonder, experts were warning not to gaze at the sun with unprotected eyes or risk serious vision damage.
The eclipse, where the moon covers the sun, is set to start at 1:23 p.m. and last until 4 p.m., peaking at 2:44 p.m., when the biggest swath of the sun will be covered.
New Yorkers are searching high and low for a pair of specialty sunglasses affixed with a solar filter ahead of Monday’s much-anticipated Great American Eclipse.
Thousands of glasses have been delivered to stores in the city, but many of them have been scooped up in recent days, leaving last-minute searchers scrambling.
